My smaller original works on paper were born partly out of the size constraints that come with apartment living, and partly from a very impactful conversation I had with a college professor of mine about my artistic impulses. These drawings are typically completely unplanned and often come together quickly; they’re a direct result of the many impulses I have to create patterns, draw fine lines, make repetitive marks, and find hidden paths for drawing in haphazardly placed swaths of color.
